November 2025 SCUBA Platform Update
If October felt like a systems check, November felt like a divergence point.
📉 Market Signals & Hiring Trends
Platform vendors are growing headcount while ABA providers are slowing or contracting. Hiring gains were modest, but the direction was consistent:
platforms are investing into 2026 even as Medicaid pressure, payor friction, and margin compression shape provider behavior.
This raises an important question:
Why are platforms accelerating when providers are bracing?
Possibilities include:
- Confidence that Medicaid pressure won’t meaningfully reduce demand for operational tooling.
- Recognition that tightening margins may increase the need for automation, not reduce it.
- Investment in AI, integration, and value-based readiness, where workflow data becomes a differentiator.
- Rising payor complexity pushing clinics toward external automation partners rather than additional administrative staff.
Against that backdrop, here are the new signals that mattered in November:
✅ Platform Milestones & New Signals
- EarliPoint Diagnostics - CEO Jamie Pagliaro highlighted the new Netsmart partnership, aimed at bringing early-diagnosis and outcomes tracking into whole-person care infrastructure. Also added Cortica (top-35) to its client base, indicating continued enterprise traction.
- Rethink launched a bi-directional integration with Raintree, positioning Rethink as the ABA/behavioral module inside Raintree’s rehab EHR/RCM stack—allowing PT/OT/SLP groups to expand into ABA without replacing their core system. Rethink also expanded content distribution through Netsmart, embedding training and educational resources across Netsmart’s human-services ecosystem.
- At AIS East, Anonymous Health indicated it is building an AI-driven intake agent with an API-first design, and exploring potential use in autism/ABA intake and verification workflows.
- Also at AIS East, LinusBio announced they are developing a hair-strand–based autism biomarker test (FDA Breakthrough designation). Science is intriguing, though the commercial pathway and provider adoption strategy remain early.
- Artemis announced AI-powered session notes, joining the broader wave of automated clinical documentation tools across the ABA tech landscape.
