August 2025 SCUBA Platform Update: Selective Signals in a Measured Market

August 2025 SCUBA Platform Update: Selective Signals in a Measured Market

This month’s SCUBA shows a steady platform landscape, with no new Top 35 ABA provider wins and limited hiring shifts. The dataset has been refreshed, and I’ve updated coverage to reflect market changes: newer clinician-first entrants are included (Finni Health, Tilly Therapy, 3Y Health, Alpaca), while SpectrumAi has been removed following its acquisition by CentralReach.

✅ Platform Milestones & Product Enhancements

  • CentralReach reached out to clarify details on its Data Warehouse 2.0 rollout. While DW2 isn’t “query-compatible” with Insights, the preserved key relationships across views mean teams can modernize queries gradually rather than rebuild from scratch. The design aims to deliver more normalized, efficient reporting for data-savvy providers.
  • CentralReach also acquired SpectrumAi and AI.Measures, marking a strategic push to anchor outcomes-based care. See my full breakdown here.
  • Passage Health introduced expanded claims management features (new statuses, labels, due dates, and write-offs), certification expiration tracking, and mobile scheduling controls.
  • Frontera launched a Starter Fellowship Program, supporting BCBAs who want to open clinics with short-term funding, use of its AI-native platform, and structured mentorship. Passage Health will also participate.
  • Floreo announced the Coach Browser Experience, allowing sessions to be guided directly from a web browser without requiring an iPad.
  • Hi Rasmus and Lumary were featured together in an ABA Mission Operator Spotlight, showcasing their integration for 360 Behavioral Health.
  • RethinkFirst highlighted its session note AI capabilities, part of a broader effort to modernize its platform.

✅ Partnerships & Recognition

  • RethinkFirst also announced a partnership with Raintree for expanded billing capabilities.
  • Plutus Health was recognized on the Inc. 5000 list, reflecting growth in ABA RCM.
  • RethinkFirst made the Inc. 5000 list as well, underscoring its scale in the broader behavioral and education markets.
  • ABA Schedules announced a partnership with TherapyPM, reinforcing its integration-first approach.
  • I also want to note that while I don’t track LeadSquared as a dedicated ABA vendor, they have told me they now serve two Top 20 ABA providers with their CRM solution, and their partnership with CentralReach further strengthens their presence in ABA.

✅ Growth & Hiring Signals

  • No new Top 35 logos were reported in August.
  • Hiring remained muted across most vendors.

✅ SCUBA Data Refresh

The SCUBA dataset has been fully updated to include:

  • U.S.-based staff counts
  • Open job postings
  • Top 35 provider traction
  • Platform funding history
  • ABA-centric commercial focus
  • User ratings (Capterra and G2)

🧪 The full dataset includes more granular details, helping surface where platforms are gaining traction, consolidating, or pivoting toward adjacent markets.
