October 2025 SCUBA Platform Update

October 2025 SCUBA Platform Update

If September felt like a sprint, October felt more like a systems check.
Most platforms kept hiring in check, a few launched new automation tools or partnerships, and the rest focused on tightening what’s already in place.

✅ Platform Milestones & Product Enhancements

  • Passage Health introduced an AI-powered session-note feature, expanding its automation toolkit for clinical documentation and strengthening its workflow-efficiency focus.
  • Camber and Flychain announced a strategic partnership, bundling automated RCM with bookkeeping, capital access, and financial analytics. The joint offering targets smaller ABA clinics that lack CFO-level infrastructure—aiming to improve cash-flow resilience and payer-performance visibility.
  • EarliPoint Health (formerly EarliTec Diagnostics) rebranded to reflect an expanded mission beyond early diagnosis. The new EarliPoint Network connects families with providers and enables faster treatment starts while advancing its FDA-cleared eye-tracking technology for objective, efficient diagnosis.

📉 Market Activity & Hiring

  • Overall hiring cooled across the platform landscape, with open roles declining for most vendors.
  • Passage Health was also the only major platform (that is not also a provider) to increase hiring, as most peers held steady or scaled back.
  • The slowdown suggests platforms are prioritizing product stability, integration, and margin discipline heading into year-end.
  • Hi Rasmus and TheraDriver each added new Top 35 provider logos, signaling continued traction among mid- to large-sized organizations.
  • No major tech platform funding events were recorded this month.

💬 Industry Events & Emerging Themes

  • I attended CR Unite last month and will be on-site at AIS East later this month—looking forward to more discussions with providers, platform vendors and investors. Please reach out if you're interested in meeting.
  • In a recent conversation with Bukhtar Khan of Finni Health, we discussed how some clinician-first platforms are scaling on the administrative side to keep the human connection centered on therapy delivery—a different, but increasingly relevant, path to building scale in autism care. Stay tuned for a deeper dive into this space.
