Our readership has doubled in the last month, and for good reason—platform momentum is shifting, buyer behavior is maturing, and operational efficiency is the new battleground. July brings fresh product rollouts, strategic partnerships, and sharper signals from the top 130 providers. Let’s dive in.
1. Platform Highlights
🔹 Hi Rasmus – Rolled out a manual entry tool for standardized assessments (VB-MAPP, Vineland-3, FAST, CFQL-2), with visualizations and integrated reporting.
🔹 Artemis – Introduced Advanced Analytics, including real-time dashboards, drill-down insights, and no-lag performance views—no spreadsheets required.
🔹 Simple Fractal – Launched Reggie, a turnkey bot for California providers that automates billing to regional centers. (More details to come.)
🔹 Brellium – Introduced an Email Efficacy dashboard that links QA communications to measurable documentation improvements. Also announced joint messaging with Rethink around pre-payment review and audit support.
🔹 Motivity – Added a Cognitive Skills & Executive Functioning Library, supporting areas like attention, planning, and problem-solving.
🔹 Lumary – Expanded its ecosystem through a new partnership with Viventium, integrating payroll and workforce management capabilities.

2. Provider Highlights
📈 Action Behavior Centers surged again — up 11% since April, now more than twice the size of the #3 provider.
📈 Stepping Stones expanded in both headcount and geography, adding a new state and extending its #2 lead.
📊 SOAR and Yellow Bus each posted 10% month-over-month growth—strong outliers among the broader group of 130 providers.
📉 Job postings dropped 23.9%, signaling a summer hiring cooldown despite overall staff growth.
🗺️ Only three state expansions this month: Stepping Stones, CARD, and Attain. Most top providers remain focused on deepening existing markets rather than entering new ones.
📊 The Top 20 leaderboard remains nearly frozen—only CSD and Acorn swapped positions. A sign of balance—or strategic stagnation?
⚠️ Reimbursement concerns and Medicaid audits continue to shape strategy. With capital tight and oversight rising, many providers are shifting focus from growth to efficiency.

3. Operator Spotlight – California Autism Center
This month’s spotlight features California Autism Center, a fast-growing Central Valley provider now operating six centers across California. As operations scaled, CAC transitioned to Passage Health to unify workflows, simplify reporting, and support real-time supervision.
“It feels like an app our staff already know how to use. That matters when you’re hiring and training constantly.”
— Adam Rushing, Chief Operating Officer
The switch improved onboarding, reduced support issues, and enabled tighter alignment with clinical and operational goals. With a strong internal tech team, CAC has extended Passage’s capabilities while partnering closely with its leadership for long-term success.
4. Industry Insights
📉 M&A Still Quiet at the Top
Large-scale M&A remains elusive. For PE firms holding assets longer than expected, the lack of visible exits may increase pressure on valuations and timelines.
